What are your candles made from?
Brahma Origins candles are made from 100% organic soy wax which is vegan in nature. The wax is made from soya beans and carefully selected botanical plants making them completely natural. Our soy wax is a high-grade creamy white wax, which does not compromise our environment. Unlike paraffin wax, a soy wax offers a much ‘cleaner’ burn without producing black smoke. It is perfectly normal for soy wax to become a little discoloured or change appearance after burning. This does not compromise the quality or efficiency of the candle.
What are your candle wicks made from?
We understand that wicks are the most important component in any candle making process, therefore our wicks have been carefully selected and timelessly tested to ensure an even burn. Our wicks are made of excellent quality cotton twisted with thread or wood wicks which are perfectly suited to soy wax.

Are there any special instructions for burning my candle?
Please adhere to the safety instructions at the bottom of your candle before lighting or read the small card which comes with your candle before lighting. In summary, keep away from pets and children and anything flammable. Always burn your candle away from drafts and on a smooth even flat surface.
We also recommend that you trim the wick to at least 1 cm before lighting. Allow your candle to burn evenly to the edge of the candle container. This usually takes about an 1-2 hours depending on the size of your candle, before carefully extinguishing. This helps to give the candle maximum fragrance and an even burn the next time you light your candle. Soy wax is known to have a ‘memory’ and will often burn to where it was last lit. This process will also help to avoid any tunnelling.
We strongly advise you not to blow out your candle but use an appropriate item such as a snuff lid to put out your candle flame. Always remember to trim your wick, removing any previous deposits before lighting. We recommend that you do not burn your candle for more than 3-4 hours each time. Never leave your candle burning unattended.
The candle I bought in the shop smells much stronger than yours, why is this?
Quite often, mass produced candles are sprayed with a thin later of perfume that sits on the top of the candle. This usually burns off once the candle is lit and the fragrance can in some cases disappear.
Soy wax is a much denser wax than paraffin wax and fragrance oils bond differently to soy wax particles. We use fragrance oils which are suitable for natural wax candles. When the wax heats up, it releases the fragrance oils. This becomes stronger each time the candle is lit. All our candle fragrances are paraben and phthalate free.
Do your candles come in boxes?
The 9cl candle comes in a flat folding box. Both the 30 cl and 50cl come in a luxury hard box with a lid which can easily be reused. We are currently offering a gold coloured metal lid lid which acts as a perfect ‘snuff’ lid for both these sizes. They are hand tied with a satin ribbon bow adding the perfect final luxury finish.
